Mohave County Democrats to host petition signing slam

KINGMAN – Mohave County Democrats Kingman District 1 will be having a petition signing slam on Saturday, May 21 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in front of their office at 212B N. 5th Street in downtown Kingman.

According to a press release from Mohave County Democrats Kingman District 1, the three petitions include: “Outlaw Dark Money” to require full disclosure of campaign donations; “Medical Debt Limits” which seeks to limit interest rates for debt accumulated from medical care and exempts some property from debt attachments; and “Voting Rights,” which would rename the active early voting list to the permanent early voting list among other efforts to make voting more accessible.

These petitions will be also be available next door at 5th Street Books each Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for those unable to make the event.
