Regarding the article about Kingman City Council addressing street repairs, the City Council must first address proper training procedures of Public Works employees to do the job!
Biden allowed a Communist Chinese spy balloon to gather classified information on national security of our country for a week. He needs to be immediately impeached for treason.
The Lee Williams boys basketball team had an incredibly exciting home game Friday night with James Coffman sinking a 35-foot three-pointer at the buzzer to win the game. How the Daily Miner did not cover that is completely surprising. (Editor’s note: We have no sports reporter or editor. That is one of the reason why. Also, the Volunteers finished with a 6-12 record. Most coverage of their season would have been deemed negative for that reason.)
Kingman City Street Maintenance – The key to reliable, continuous funding for street maintenance would be through our property taxes especially since we voted down getting it from unreliable sales taxes. This needs to get resolved and years of discussion is tiring.
Kingman City Council ponders street repair options – Repair of our roads is estimated at $5.5 million per year for 10 years. Kingman’s Capital Improvement Plan for infrastructure is budgeted at $38 million a year. The money is there, the need is obvious, so stop pondering and start working.
Traffic light at Eastern and Hualapai – Agreed that something should be done. It’s a disaster waiting to happen. It’s scary to see those small children trying to get across Hualapai. One easy solution would be work with the MHP and move there entrance and exit to Eastern.
House Republicans want to pass legislation to offer gratitude and appreciation for law enforcement officers yet they didn’t condemn actions of insurrectionists on Jan. 6, 2021 and voted against awarding them medals of honor. Too little, too late.
