Obituary | Robert M. Bula (Bob)
Robert M. Bula (Bob) passed away on Jan. 8, 2023.
He was born April 9, 1940 to Michael and Ann Bula in Antigo, Wisconsin.
After high school, Bob attended University of Wisconsin Stevens Point for a year before moving to Arizona. Bob finished his bachelors at Arizona State University in the 1960s and then went on to obtain a master’s degree. After teaching for a few years, Bob went back to school again, this time to Arizona State Law School to get his Juris Doctorate. He started his law career as a prosecutor in Phoenix, Arizona, but soon moved to Kingman, Arizona for the beautiful Hualapai Mountains and became the Kingman City Attorney for over a decade. He left that post and went into private practice.
As a lawyer, Bob was most passionate about ensuring children were the top priority during divorce. He contributed to legislation at the state and federal level championing for children’s rights. He also loved to build houses, travel, ride motorcycles and bicycles, ski and hike, but really it was adventure he loved the most.
Bob is survived by his long-time partner (Eliza); his daughter (Jennifer), son (Jeremy), stepson (Jon) and grandson (Jereson). Additionally, he is survived by his sister-in-law (Karen) and his nieces (Kimberly, Cheryl, and Michelle) and their families. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Mike and Ann as well as brother Ron.
A celebration of life will be held later this year in the Hualapai Mountains. Details will be published closer to the event date. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
