Following what has become a Christmas tree lighting tradition at Locomotive Park in Kingman, kicked off by Mayor Jen Miles this past Saturday, Dec. 4, Christmas celebrations in downtown Kingman were lit up, followed by a Street of Lights, which replaced the long-standing Parade of Lights that Kingmanites have enjoyed for many years and the second-year-running of Mingle Jingle.

We here in Kingman need help. Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey is helping Phoenix and the surrounding towns, but not Kingman, where due to Route 66 and Interstate 40 we are getting daily bombarded by travelers. Our store shelves are becoming bare but we are not getting help with needed supplies or restocking. We need the governor to understand we also live in Arizona , not just him and his surrounding area. In recent news we were told that President Donald Trump wanted to place a question on citizenship within the U.S. Census for 2020. This of course caused an uproar from many officials of cities, counties, parishes, and states within the continental U.S.
