The Wissinger Letters

LeRoy Wissinger and his daughter Arlene shuffle through letters from 1951 to 1954 during LeRoy’s time in the Korean War. The Wissinger’s recently reunited with the letters exchanged between LeRoy, his wife MaryAnn and family members while he was in the Navy. The Wissinger’s put the letters and photos in the crawl space of their Bellingham, Washington home in the 1960s and forgot to pack them when they moved at the end of the decade. The Harris family moved in after them when the kids were “exploring.” After searching, the Heather Harris found the family had settled in Kingman and sent them the long-lost letters in 2022.
